Dr. Dana Donaldson

Dr. Dana Donaldson, our pediatric specialist, obtained her Doctorate of Optometry in 2004 from Indiana University School of Optometry. Prior to joining Plainfield Eye Care she specialized in pediatric care at Riley Hospital and Midwest Eye Institute from 2004 to 2015 in the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She has lectured in Clinical Ophthalmology at the IU School of Medicine. She has been recognized by the President of IU Medical Group as having outstanding patient satisfaction.

During her time with Riley and Midwest she participated in studies including IATS (Infant Aphakia Treatment Study) Dr. Donaldson has provided care for children from 2 months and up. She has treated and managed conditions such as strabismus, amblyopia (lazy eye), plus various pediatric eye infections and diseases. Dr Donaldson joined Plainfield Eye Care in 2015. Her expertise in pediatrics will ensure we are able to provide the best care for the youngest of patients.

Dr Donaldson is originally from Hendricks County and graduated from Avon High School. She now lives in Greenwood with her husband, Jeremy and three daughters. They enjoy sports, fitness and their children’s activities, and involvement with the child life ministries of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church as well as vacations and following IU sports.
