Dr. Acton, a Plainfield native, attended Taylor University for her undergraduate degree on the Lilly Endowment Scholarship. She then went on to graduate from the Indiana University School of Optometry with highest honors. While at IU, Dr. Acton was an active member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and worked as an associate instructor in Geometrical and Visual Optics. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Acton enjoys spending time with her husband and their mini-goldendoodle, Mavris. Just ask, she would love to show you photos! She also loves exploring a new city, baking something sweet, and hosting friends and family.
